Please read these terms carefully before using RapidApply. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Introduction

Welcome to RapidApply! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RapidApply web application and Chrome extension (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind the organization to these Terms.

3. Description of Service

RapidApply provides tools to streamline job applications, including but not limited to:

  • Generating cover letters tailored to specific job descriptions using AI technology
  • Editing generated cover letters

The Service is accessible via a web application and Chrome extension. The availability and functionality of features may vary between different subscription tiers and may change over time as the Service evolves.

4. Account Registration and Security

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Prohibited Actions

  • Share your account credentials with any third party
  • Create multiple accounts unless specifically permitted
  • Use the account for any unauthorized purposes

We reserve the right to disable any user account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we determine that your account activity raises security concerns.

5. Subscription Plans and Payments

RapidApply offers both free and paid subscription plans. Details of available plans, including features and pricing, are available on our website.

Payment Terms:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for subscription fees according to your selected plan
  • All payments are non-refundable
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment information
  • We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing
  • If payment cannot be processed, we may suspend or terminate your account

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us directly. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not receive a refund for any unused portion of your subscription
  • You will lose access to premium features once your current billing period ends

No Refunds Policy: RapidApply does not offer refunds once a subscription plan has been purchased. Please review plan details carefully before subscribing.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

When using the Service, you agree to:

Prohibited Activities

  • Use the Service for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Submit falsified information through our Service
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

8. User Content and License

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including resumes, cover letters, and other job application materials ("User Content").

License Grant:

By uploading or creating User Content with our Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

Your Warranties:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
  • Your User Content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party
  • Your User Content does not contain false or misleading information

9. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, trademarks, logos, software, designs, and intellectual property related to RapidApply are the property of RapidApply or its licensors.

Limited License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.

Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services, such as AI providers for powered features, job boards for listings, and other service providers.

Important Considerations:

  • RapidApply is not responsible for third-party content or data practices
  • We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of third-party integrations
  • Third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms
  • We may modify or discontinue integrations at any time

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will function uninterrupted or be available at all times
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
  • Results will meet your requirements or expectations
  • Job applications will result in interviews or job offers
  • Generated content will be effective or well-received by employers

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAPIDAPPLY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access or alteration of your content
  • Employment decisions made based on Service content
  • Any conduct or content of third parties

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RapidApply from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice.

Upon Termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
  • Your account information will be deleted
  • Any paid fees will not be refunded
  • Certain provisions of these Terms shall survive termination

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
